Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid Chief Information Officer / Information Technology Architect role based remotely. The CIO / IT Architect will define and execute the company’s overall technology strategy, ensuring that architecture, infrastructure, and security support current operations and future growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the design of automation and information systems, evaluating and selecting technology platforms, and overseeing the integration of new tools and applications. The role will manage IT governance, risk, and compliance; establish standards and best practices; and ensure data security and reliability across all environments. The CIO / IT Architect will collaborate closely with leadership, product, and operations teams, lead external vendor relationships, guide IT budgeting and resource planning, and mentor technical staff.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in IT leadership, including responsibility for enterprise-wide technology strategy and architecture.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable system architectures, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Strong background in automation technologies, systems integration, and process optimization.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data protection, and regulatory or industry compliance standards.
- Experience overseeing IT operations, including infrastructure, networks, applications, and support services.
- Ability to translate business goals into technical roadmaps and prioritize initiatives based on impact and risk.
- Proven track record managing technology vendors, contracts, and service-level agreements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Experience leading or supporting digital transformation initiatives in a growing or evolving organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL, CISSP, PMP) are a plus.
